LGBTQIA College Conference Chooses Deaf Keynote Speaker

Deaf Queer / Trans Activist Dragonsani Renteria (Drago) has been chosen to keynote the 2007 Western Regional Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Questioning, Intersex Alliance (LGBTQIA) College Conference, which takes place February 16-18, 2007 at the University of California at Riverside. Hundreds of students, faculty and staff from colleges and universities across the country are expected to attend.

Drago's keynote is scheduled for Saturday, February 17 from 1 to 2 PM at the University Theatre at UC Riverside. This is the first time a Deaf person has been invited to keynote this conference.
