Hands On is a venture-funded organization that is number two in our market, with ambitions and plans on being #1. We are growing and as a result have an entry-level opportunity as a corporate recruiter at our corporate office in Rocklin, CA.

Position: Corporate Recruiter
Location: Rocklin

Brief summary of duties:
This position is responsible for identifying interviewing, testing, and referring applicants for clerical, technical, administrative and management positions throughout Hands On Services. Considerable skills in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and operational functions in the Company are required. A basic understanding of the Hands On organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices is necessary to fulfill the objectives of this position.


  • Attend various job fairs, trade show and recruiting events as a representative of Hands On Services
  • Acts as lead in recruitment efforts, specifically in tactical objectives such as sourcing, selecting, screening and making offers
  • Follow up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing of health, employment, and insurance forms, notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
  • Completion of weekly report on employment activity
  • Perform orientation of new employees
  • The Corporate Recruiter will analyze the information provided on a prospective employee's application form, conduct a personal interview and determine the suitability of the applicant for employment
  • When the information provided indicates a good potential employee. Performs further background reference investigation, i.e., prior employment references, transcripts, etc. to gain adequate information on which to base a selection decision
  • Acts as a liaison to the Operations Recruiting Manger to ensure all recruiting activities are efficient and concerted
  • Manage turnover in an efficient and economical manner
  • Assist the Human Resources Department in reducing turnover by conducting surveys and providing data on compensation, benefits and overall work environment
  • Perform exit interview on terminating employees
