Deaf Motorcycle Class New Jersey

From: Kelly - Apr 20, 2006

Hi, my name is Kelly. I am a motorcycle instructor at Rider Education of New Jersey, a non-profit agency that teaches the Motorcycle Safety Education rider course. I am not hearing impaired (but don't hold that against me :) The reason I am contacting you is because I am trying to organize a class for deaf or hearing impaired individuals this riding season. We will be utilizing ASL interpreters to assist in instructing this course. I am trying to get the word out and generate some interest in taking the class. Once an individual has successfully completed our class, we have the ability to issue a motorcycle license. The first step is obtaining a motorcycle permit from the state of NJ, then one can register to take the class. I can be contacted directly at McKelly2004@aol.com to answer any questions and take any suggestions, this is new territory for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are looking to hold the class around September 2006.
