AG Bell Appoints Judy Harrison as
Senior Director of Professional Programs

Washington, DC, March 15, 2005 - The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) has announced the appointment of Judy Harrison, M.A., formerly of MED-EL Corporation, to the position of Senior Director of Professional Programs. Ms. Harrison will lead content development for the association's convention, as well as identify and design new professional development opportunities.

Ms. Harrison most recently served as the Coordinator of Educational Services for MED-EL Corporation in Durham, NC, where she developed educational and promotional programs and materials for the MED-EL cochlear implant system. Prior to joining MED-EL, she worked as the Coordinator of Educational Services for Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, where she designed and implemented the educational program for the Hearing and Learning Center.

"As Senior Director of Professional Programs, Judy Harrison's wealth of experience in the field of deafness will provide valuable perspective as we continue to develop our professional programs at AG Bell," said K. Todd Houston, Ph.D., Executive Director/CEO of AG Bell. Ms. Harrison holds a master's in the education of the deaf from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University - Douglass College in New Brunswick, NJ.
