Irish Deaf team qualifies for quarterfinals

In the Deaflympics in Melbourne, Australia, Ireland's football team has qualified for the Quarter Finals where they will meet Italy tomorrow.

In the Group stages Ireland were defeated 2 — 0 by Great Britain in the opening game on Wednesday last. This was followed up, however, by a 3—1 victory over Greece on Friday and an 11—0 romp over hosts, Australia, yesterday.

Tomorrows game Kicks Off at 09.30 local time at Green Gully Reserve, Keilor Downs.
