WHAT: Deaf Expo™, an annual community-based national event has announced venues and dates of its two shows during 2004. Deaf Expo, now in its twelfth year, is the country’s largest consumer trade show targeted at the deaf and hard of hearing market providing a large array of exhibits, Deaf Village, and program activities open to the general public.

DESCRIPTION: Each DEAF EXPO 2004 show will have exhibits covering Education, Finance, Giftware, Health, Human Resources, Publications, Recreation, Religion and Technology. There will be a Deaf Village for art & crafts and home businesses. During both show days there will be a Deaf World Stage, Sign Language Playhouse for sign language and deaf culture students and Teenage Block for teenagers. Group discounts are offered for first show day, Friday which includes programming targeted at school groups.
 
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT: Two evening events:
 
Deaf Expo™ Prime-Time Entertainment featuring Rathskellar (Friday), a visual theater with special sound & light effects exploring the arts in ASL and Deaf Culture;
 
'Deaf Expo™ Cinema' (Saturday): showing of deaf films including CSD-TV’s latest production ‘No Talking Allowed’. Open to general public, voice-interpreted.
