Hearing Loss support group slates meeting

Living with Hearing Loss is the title of the presentation by Esther Kelly and Jack Tweelings from the Deaf Action Center in Dallas. It will be a part of the Hearing Loss Support Group meeting at 9:30 a.m., Thursday at the Texoma Council of Governments building, 1117 Gallagher Drive, Sherman.

Presenters will bring information about coping strategies, technology, hospital and hotel access, sign signals, "ask the audiologist," tips for spouses and family, cochlear implants and much more.

Meeting organizers say there will be plenty of time after the meeting to talk with the experts about personal situations. FM listening systems and cart services (real-time captioning) will be provided to ensure that everyone is fully included.

The support group meets the first Thursday of each month and everyone is welcome.
