AXIS DANCE COMPANY AND VICTORIA MARKS IN A SHARED EVENING CELEBRATING AXIS'S FIFTEENTH ANNIVERARY SEASON

SAN FRANCISCO, October 22, 2003-Yerba Buena Center for the Arts presents Wattis Artists-in-Residence AXIS Dance Company and Victoria Marks in three evenings of dynamic, passionate and illuminating dance, featuring three World Premieres. AXIS Dance Company celebrates fifteen years of developing works created by dancers with and without disabilities and presents a world premiere by choreographer Victoria Marks, set to an original score by New York composer Eve Beglarian, and two premieres by acclaimed Bay Area choreographers June Watanabe and Remy Charlip. In addition, the evening features two of Marks's most recent works, Against Ending (2002) and Solo (2002), as well as Touch, a dance-for-camera premiere. Performances run Thursday through Saturday, November 20-22 at 8 pm and Sunday, November 23 at 2 pm. Tickets for the November 20 performance are $18 & $16 seniors, students and disabled, $10 youth and $14 Center Members. Tickets for November 21 through November 23 are $22 & $20 seniors, students and disabled, $14 youth and $18 Center Members.
