Reminder....

Be sure to RSVP for free admission...if you are joining D.E.A.F. Media at the Oakland Museum's Days of the Dead event Sunday, October 26.

Copy of announcement follows for details. This colorful and festive event is for everyone---Deaf, hearing, young and old.

Note: Our storytelling and tour will be in the museum gallery before it the doors open to the public. The D.E.A.F. Media group will be meeting in front of the museum at 11 a.m. After the tour the D.E.A.F. Media family will be at our activity table in the garden.

We hope to see you there.

Come join D.E.A.F. Media at the Oakland Museum's Family Explorations!

Celebrating: DIAS de los MUERTOS, Days of the Dead

This year D.E.A.F. Media is incorporating our 4th annual Dias de los Muertos Family workshop into the larger annual Oakland Museum of California festival.
**EVERYONE WELCOME - DEAF, HEARING, YOUNG, AND YOUNG AT HEART**


DEAF ACTIVITIES for the whole community include: (detailed schedule will follow)


-Deaf docent-led gallery tour of exhibit "Global Elegies: Art and Ofrendas for Days of the Dead"

-ASL storytelling

-Deaf artist-led art project

-ASL interpretation of festival activities music, dance, presentations art activities, and mercado

(The gallery will be open only for the exclusive use of D.E.A.F. Media's tour at 11 a.m. until the festival begins at noon.)

WHEN: Sunday, October 26, 2003 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Oak and 10th Streets, Oakland
1 block (East) Lake Merritt BART Station

ADMISSION: FREE with D.E.A.F. Media RSVP (this includes free admission to all the museum galleries for the whole day.)
