Police seek help finding missing mother

From: ABC Regional Online, Australia - 04 Feb 2003

Darwin police are appealing for public help in the search for a woman, missing since yesterday morning.

The 26-year-old left the Overlander Caravan Park at about 9:30am ACST on Monday.

She was wearing black shorts and a yellow top and police say she is thin with green eyes and shoulder length auburn hair.

The woman left her five-month-old baby with the child's father while she walked across Berrimah Road toward the Shell Truck City service station.

The family has only just arrived in Darwin and Senior Sergeant Steve Heyworth says police and the woman's husband are concerned for her welfare.

"We're treating it as out of character we believe she's fairly deaf and does wear hearing aids,'' Snr Sgt Heyworth said.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers.
