Missing Sacramento 12-Year-Old Found Safe

A 12-year-old girl missing since New Years Eve has been recovered safely. Kristy Lynn Arroyo flagged down a Sacramento County Sheriff's deputy Wednesday night.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, Arroyo was not injured. However, her reason for leaving home is unknown and her whereabouts during the eight days she was missing are unclear.

Deputies were particularly concerned about Arroyo because she is severely hearing impaired and did not have her hearing aids when she disappeared late on the night of December 31.
