LEROY, N.Y. (AP) _ Authorities have identified the woman whose partially decomposed body was discovered in a wooded area near a stone quarry.

An autopsy showed Kisha N. Sullivan, 27, of Rochester, died from blunt trauma to the face and had been dead for about a month. The Genesee County Sheriff's Department was investigating the death as a homicide.

Police had said the woman was wearing black jeans with the word "sugar" embroidered across the rear pockets. The body was found by two people who had been doing some logging surveying near a stone quarry in LeRoy, which is 25 miles southwest of Rochester.

Sullivan was a 1995 graduate of Rochester School for the Deaf, said school spokeswoman Nisha Ferry.
