Wendi Herzman, a certified interpreter with experience as a director of deaf services, will be speaking in Lakeland Oct. 11 on the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Her presentation will be 6 p.m. that day at Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center, 3020 Lakeland Highlands Road, in the center’s Ruthven Family Community Room. This will be at a meeting of the Lakeland Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America. She will explain how the ADA impacts the rights of the deaf and hard of hearing communities.
