Hands On Video Relay Service Supports Young Film Artists

Hands On Video Relay Service, Inc. ( has agreed to a sponsorship deal with Mösdeux, a commercial and film production house, to produce a series of short movies in hand with its "Are You Purple?" campaign. The sponsorship, which fills an area of need within the deaf and hard of hearing community for visually oriented movies with sign language, will also include funding of future Mösdeux projects.

Since late 2004, Mösdeux has produced movies and shorts for clients using digital video technology. Chad W. Taylor and Wayne Betts, Jr. are partners in the company, which uses its trademark visual style, the result of work geared towards the visual and linguistic needs of the deaf and hard of hearing community, to reach larger markets. The company's productions include the short movie "Vital Signs," an innovative melding of the visual arts of cinema and signed storytelling, and the new short "Resonare," which is the first movie to be sponsored as part of this agreement.

"We are very proud to be sponsors of Mösdeux," says Ed Routhier, President. "Chad and Wayne are talented filmmakers, and Hands On Video Relay Service is excited to continue its commitment to art by the deaf and hard of hearing."

The “Are You Purple?” nationwide advertising campaign will include the distribution of DVDs of Vital Signs to interested consumers. Only “purple” customers will be able to view the newest movie from Mösdeux, Resonare. Additional benefits include discounts, exclusive access to video campaigns, and more exciting privileges to be announced.

“We are grateful to Hands On Video Relay Service for their kindness and support, and for helping make our passions a reality,” says Chad W. Taylor. Adds Wayne Betts, Jr., “Hands On has expanded our horizons in so many ways- not only do they sponsor us, we rely on their video relay services to pull us through the stress of production.” For more information on the campaign and for more information about the collaboration, please go to
