Hamilton Relay Proudly Recognizes Leader in Kentucky

In honor of Deaf Awareness Week, Hamilton Relay is pleased to recognize Kevin Martin of Kentucky as the 2006 Deaf Leader for the State of Kentucky.

Over the years, Kevin Martin has served the Kentucky Deaf Community in some big ways. Kevin is the current President of the Kentucky Association of the Deaf, representing KAD on the Kentucky Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Board. Prior to his serving his third term as President, Kevin held a variety of offices with Kentucky Association of the Deaf including Board of Director and Vice-President. He also designed the KAD website. Kevin has lobbied in support Video Relay Service at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and actively promoted the Kentucky School for the Deaf Superintendent’s Bill over a three-year period, which was passed by the Kentucky Legislature.

Kevin has worked for the United States Postal Service for the past 16 years, and serves as Union Steward for Mail Handlers Union Local 304 with USPS. He is happily married to Cynthia, and has two sons, Matt and Gabe. Kevin’s family resides in Lexington, Kentucky.
