Arial Holtzclaw has been named the 2006 Outstanding Postsecondary student of the S.C. School for the Deaf and the Blind.

Holtzclaw was assistant editor of the school's yearbook. She served on various committees including the photography committee for the Gallaudet Southeastern Academic Bowl and the Miss Deaf Teen America committee. She tutored high school and adult students on computer software and was a residential assistant.

Darian Lattimore has been named the 2006 Outstanding Senior for the School for the Multihandicapped.

Lattimore was involved in numerous activities during his 16 years at the school. He received the Governor's Citizenship Award, the American Legion Award and WSPA Best of the Class. He was an active community volunteer through the school's Working Wheels volunteer program, participated in on-the-job training at Closed Captioned Media and worked in the school's Industrial Skills Development Center (ISDC) for more than five years. He plans to pursue a career in the retail business.
