SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Greg Gunderson, a Sioux Falls, SD resident, was recently selected to a slate of fifty stock racing drivers for a chance to participate in Racin’ for a Livin’, a new TV reality show series. Racin’ for a Livin’ is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to receive seven fully sponsored rides in a NASCAR Busch Series car in the 2007 season.

Greg is the only deaf driver selected to the TV series. He is a third-generation driver with 14-year experience and over 300 races in Sprint, Enduro, and ATV classes on local tracks in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa. Greg’s goal is to be selected among finalists to participate in the Racin’ for a Livin’ TV series. Greg’s website is at gundersonracing.com.

The TV series will kick off using direct internet voting to select the twelve participants from the slate of fifty drivers. At the RacinforaLivin.com website, voters can view the potential rookie drivers, learn about their background, and use internet video to learn why they are chasing their dreams of NASCAR glory. Voting will begin at noon on March 28 and conclude on July 31, 2006.

The TV series will feature top broadcasters, drivers, and crew chiefs as the judges when the driving competition begins with the top twelve rookies in fall 2006. Featuring some of the most well-respected tracks in the country, the TV series will put these rookies in pressure-packed situations, and one driver will be eliminated in each episode. The final selection of a winner will be done in a two-hour special, with each regular season episode presented in a one-hour version.

During the TV series, the off-track poise of the rookies will be tested with a variety of interesting encounters with top celebrities, racing legends, and current NASCAR drivers. Judging will be on driving ability, public appearance, and personality. And the viewers play a key role. Internet users will have a vote for who stays, and who goes.

Network television negotiations are in progress, with national primetime exposure. Details will be announced shortly at RacinforaLivin.com. The entire series will also be broadcast on RacinforaLivin.com using the latest Internet Television technology.
