Bothell: Hearing-impaired invited to reception

From: Seattle Times, United States - Sep 30, 2005

The Seattle area's deaf and hearing-impaired residents and their families are invited to attend a free college-information reception Wednesday.

The reception is sponsored by the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester (New York) Institute of Technology. The event will be from 7-9 p.m. at the SpringHill Suites, 3850 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell.

The event will include a brief presentation, question-and-answer time with the institute's alumni, and an opportunity to meet other students and families from the Seattle area.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing students can earn associate, bachelor's or master's degrees in more than 200 programs at the institute. The college also provides a variety of support and access services to assist deaf and hearing-impaired students.

Advance registration for this free event is required. Call 585-475-6700 (v/TTY) or register online at www.rit.edu/ntid/reception.
