· Gallaudet 3, York College 1: Katie Hertz had 29 assists and 13 digs, but the Spartans slumped after a strong start and fell to the Bison, 18-30, 30-19, 30-24, 30-20.

Hertz, a sophomore and Delone Catholic graduate, served the last nine points in York's opening-game win. However, Gallaudet came out strong in each of the remaining games.

Pia Marie Paulone had 44 assists for the visitors, while Stacy Segeberg hit 17 kills. Kristina Burke had 11 kills and seven digs, while Val Trofimenkoff had 10 kills, nine digs, and eight block assists.

Freshman Jess Smith had a team-high 15 digs for York (7-11, 1-2 CAC), while Brandy Overlander led the Spartans with 14 kills. Grace Acker had 10 kills for the Spartans.
