A number of sports activities have been added to the agenda besides a string of developmental activities.

The SDAD undertakes projects and programmes for the benefit of the hearing impaired people in East Singhbhum.

President of SDAD Sudipto Mukherjee said they were more inclined to the streamline sports and education network for the deaf. "We have decided to organise the second state games for the deaf at the JRD Tata Sports Complex from October 1-5."

"Moreover, a search is on for a sign language teacher to help the hearing impaired," he informed, adding that the lack of special colleges for the deaf in the district has been the biggest bane for their education.

"We shall need adequate funds to give shape to our activities. We shall approach the state government to provide funds for the same," he stated.
