SALT LAKE CITY, UT (May 23, 2005) — Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc. (CSD) has signed on as a Gold Medal Partner Sponsor of the 16th Deaflympic Winter Games, held in Salt Lake City, Utah February 1-10, 2007.  Among the agreement between CSD's Chief Executive Officer Ben Soukup and the Organizing Committee Chair Dwight Benedict were funds in the amount of $250,000 and in-kind services that will support the 2007 Deaflympic Games.  Officials who witnessed the groundbreaking moment include USA Deaf Sports Federation (USADSF) President Bobbie Beth Scoggins, along with Vice President Jack Lamberton and CSD Organizational & Community Relations Officer Frank Turk.

The contribution to the 2007 Deaflympic Games stood as a testament to CSD's ongoing commitment to returning revenue back into the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community through programs and support services.  Chairperson Benedict confirms, "CSD has been a partner with the USA Deaf Sports Federation for several years, and has expanded to support international deaf sports with its sponsor partnership with the 2007 Deaflympic Winter Games."   The other major sponsor of the 2007 Deaflympic Winter Games is Sorenson Media of Salt Lake City, Utah.
