Valley RE/MAX office offers online sign-language translation

From: Phoenix Business Journal, AZ - Apr 13, 2005

A local franchise office of the real estate giant RE/MAX has teamed with Deaf Link Inc. to provide a special service to benefit hearing-challenged customers.

RE/MAX Fine Properties, 8901 E. Mountain View Road, Scottsdale, and several other RE/MAX offices nationwide, now use Deaf Link's Internet system in order to gain access to American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to provide clear communication to customers who need such services.

San Antonio-based Deaf Link's communication center is staffed with state and nationally certified ASL interpreters, and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Through Internet video conferencing, Deaf Link provides companies such as RE/MAX with three-way communication between the business associate, a certified ASL interpreter and the hearing-challenged client.
