Pakistan Deaf XI win cricket series against India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Deaf XI scored a thumping 285-run victory over India in the final of the five-match one-day series at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Pakistan posted a fine total of 448 runs thanks to skipper Zaka Ahmed’s unbeaten knock of 236 runs laced with 21 fours and 10 sixes in 148 balls.

He shared a 302-run record first wicket partnership with Naseer Butt who scored 130 runs with the help of 13 fours and three sixes off 110 balls. Bilal Ahmed played a brisk innings of 42 runs. In reply, India were bowled out for 162 runs in 44.4 overs. Vinay Segal 55, Muhammad Akhtar 32 and Kartik Nilankar 16 were the main scorers. Zaka claimed four wickets for 27 runs.
