The Phoenix Day School for the Deaf (PDSD), located in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona has a unique and challenging opportunity for a dynamic and knowledgeable individual to assume a leadership role as Principal for our school with students in grades K-12. The Principal provides leadership in areas of school organization, curriculum implementation, instructional accessibility, accountability, and professional development. The Principal is responsible for building partnerships with parents and the community served by PDSD. The Phoenix Day School for the Deaf is accredited by the North Central Association. The school focuses on the unique educational needs of students with hearing impairments, including those with additional disabilities ages 5 through 22 years in the traditional curriculum.

The preferred candidate will possess graduate degrees in education of the hearing impaired and educational administration and previous experience as a Principal of a school grades k-12 serving hearing impaired students.

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Education with emphasis on the education of the hearing impaired or a Bachelor's Degree in education with an emphasis on the education of the hearing impaired and a Master's Degree in an education related field.
- Certification or eligible for certification from the Arizona Department of Education as a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired and as a Principal.
- Five years teaching experience with students with hearing impairments and/or multiple disabilities.
- One year of supervisory experience in an educational program.
