Connect at deaf group open event

A Glasgow charity for the deaf and hard of hearing will hold an open day next week.
The Deaf Connections event at its base in Norfolk Street in the Gorbals on Tuesday will show services on offer.
The open day, from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm, will let visitors meet staff and volunteers and enjoy a festive buffet.
Deaf Connections is the largest employer of deaf people in the country and provides classes in IT, British Sign Language and lip reading, and numeracy and literacy.
It also runs a youth service, social inclusion programmes and a number of key health initiatives including cancer awareness workshops.
