Last Thursday, the women's soccer team traveled to Columbia Union College, where they dominated the game, ending with an 11-0 win.

The leading scorers for last week's game were seniors Jenny Aspinwall with four goals and Stephanie Hare with three goals. The women next traveled to Methodist College, where Aspinwall scored her 12th goal of the season, securing her spot as CAC Player of the Week. The women lost, however, after giving up their 2-1 lead in the last five minutes of play, bringing the teams into overtime. Coach Sousa explained that the last goal, scored during the first overtime, was scored because the team "came out flat."

"It was a disappointing loss but something we can learn from heading into our most important conference games next week against York and Mary Washington," said Sousa.

Tuesday, the Lady Cardinals played at home against Gallaudet, beating the Bison 13-0. Junior Laura Kaye led the Cards with four goals.

"What was great about today was we didn't play down to our opponent," said Sousa following the game. "Whoever stepped out onto the field did what they had to do. Our level of play never dropped."

The women play three more games before the playoffs, with a game at home on Tuesday against Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va.

The men competed in two games this past week, falling to Washington and Lee 3-0 on Saturday. The Cardinals regrouped their efforts and shut out La Roche College 4-0 on Sunday. The have two more regular season games, facing Goucher on Saturday and Salisbury next Thursday. Both games are at home, but will be held at neighboring Trinity's field.
