Swiss mobile operator Sunrise launched two new mobile subscriptions for frequent SMS users this week: Instead of calling time, the new subscriptions – Sunrise message 150 and Sunrise message 250 – will include 150 and 250 free SMS messages per month respectively.

As an introductory offer, Sunrise is giving new subscribers double the number of SMS messages included with both new mobile subscriptions until 31 December, 2004.

Both subscriptions (€16 [CHF 25] for Sunrise message 150, and €26 [CHF 40] for Sunrise message 250) are aimed at, amongst others, the deaf and those with impaired hearing.

Meanwhile, domestic calls to the fixed network and all mobile networks will be charged at a standard rate of €0.45 (65 cents)/minute with sunrise message 150, and a peak rate of €0.36 (55 cents)/minute and off-peak rate of €0.25 (39 cents)/minute with Sunrise message 250. Both subscriptions offer unlimited use of additional sunrise services such as sending MMS messages (standard rate of €0.32 [50 cents] per MMS with no volume restrictions).
