Welcome to August, 2004, the most RELAXING month of the year in Southern California! Many of us are on vacation during that month. Here are the DHH-Recommended events in Southern California for August, 2004.

Sunday August 1-
DHH Beach Party for Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Their Families and Friends at Santa Monica Beach, Lifeguard Station #26. From 11am until Sunset. Bring volleyball or other games. Swimming or just relaxing on the beach. We are located near Ocean Park Blvd and the beach. Easy to find us there.

Tuesday August 3rd-
DHH Gathering at Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, 5164 East Palm Ave, Burbank, CA.
7-9pm

Thursday August 5th
DHH Gathering at Shakey's Pizza, 10340 Reseda Blvd, Northridge, CA
5pm-9pm
A Fundraiser for WRAD, Inc.

Friday August 6th-
Starbucks Coffee, 450 Las Posas Road, Camarillo, CA
730pm-Closing

Saturday August 7th-
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Gathering at the Coffee Bean at the Grove/ Farmers Market, Los Angeles
on Fairfax and 3rd Street- 7pm-11pm. Plenty of restaurants to choose at Farmers Market but be sure to go there before they close at 9pm. Many other restaurants remain open after 9 at the Grove area.

Saturday August 7th-
DHH Gathering at Starbucks Coffee, 3429 Foothill Blvd, Pasadena, CA. 730pm-11pm

Sunday August 8th
DHH Beach Party for Deaf and Hard of Hearing and their Familes and Friends at Santa Monica Beach, Lifeguard Station #26. From 11am until Sunset. Bring volleyball or other games. Swimming or just relaxing on the beach. We are located near Ocean Park Blvd and the beach. Easy to find us there.

Saturday August 14-
DHH Coffee Gathering at Java and Jazz Coffee, 24300 Town Center Drive, Valencia, CA 91355. 7-11pm

Sunday August 15th

Wednesday August 18th-
Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, 24415 Town Center Dr, Valencia, CA. 7-10pm.
A DHH Gathering.

Thursday August 19th-
DHH Pizza at Vince's Pizza on 25th Street East and Avenue S in East Palmdale, CA 93550. A nice place where you can also watch two TV with closed captioning. 5pm- 9pm.
A WRAD, Inc. fundraiser.

Friday August 20th-
DHH Gathering at Starbucks Coffee, 19758 Rinaldi Street, Northridge, CA 91326.
VERY POPULAR EVENT SO DO NOT MISS IT !!!!
7pm to Closing.

FREE ADMISION! Keep Reading below:

It has been awhile since we have had any parties at Deaf Disco events. We are back at it again with something NEW! We are offering FREE ADMISSION to future Deaf Disco events. Yes, you heard us right. We want to extend our appreciation for your past support. It is payback time. We will allow you to attend without any charge to attend this upcoming party on August 7th. The FREE ADMISSION may become a permanent. There are no restrictions except that you have to be 21 years of age. Nothing will change at these Deaf Disco events. We will still offer the usual party atmosphere, DJ Music, bar, food, etc.

The only thing that is going to be different is that you DO NOT PAY TO ENTER! You think you can handle this? I know this sounds unbelievable, but it is true. Again, we want to thank you for all of your past, current, and future support!

The next party will be on Saturday, August 7th. This party will be announced only by email and word-of-mouth. Let your friends know that this will be a FREE ADMISSION party. You buy your own drinks and food. All you need is to show up. Oh yes, parking is FREE too.
