Crash victim ID'd as New Jersey man

EASTON -- A 35-year-old New Jersey man killed early Sunday after being struck by a sport utility vehicle in the 1000 block of Butler Street has been identified as David Lane of Rockaway, N.J.

Lane, who is deaf, was killed about 12:30 a.m. after he was struck by a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by John-Robert Terraciano, 19, of the 300 block of Brodhead Street in Easton, authorities said.

Terraciano and his two passengers were uninjured.

Police said the crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.

Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said Lane died of injuries suffered in the collision. His death was ruled an accident.
