ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF WORK WELL DONE
As we approach another blockbuster summer movie season, it seems only fitting to acknowledge the theater chains and the movies studios that have enabled access to movie theaters-- during regular showtimes and from the first day films open-- to grow exponentially in the last few years. It is also an ideal opportunity for a tip of the hat to the many, many film fans with hearing or vision loss (not to mention the parents, teachers, children and partners of same) that have gone above and beyond to advocate for installations of access systems in movie theaters. From those that have already reached their goal and are now enjoying films regularly, to those that are working hard, on their own or with others in their community, you are to be saluted! In Raleigh, in Detroit, in Grand Rapids, in Erie, PA, in Dayton and D.C. and Salt Lake City and many, many other cities... your work WILL payoff, we're sure of it.
