MSSD Spring Play Set for May

Washington, DC—The Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD) will present its spring play, titled "The Dark Room" on May 6, 7 and 8 in the renovated Theatre Malz.

The play, written by former MSSD teacher Monique Holt, is being directed by MSSD student, Jonathan Kessel.

The Dark Room is a mystery that begins in a dark room and continues in an alley. Detectives, photojournalists and a medical examiner are swarming around the crime scene and discover clues which lead to a vampire club. The vampires are trying to find a "cure" to help them blend into modern day living. The photojournalists however, try to do everything they can to stop the vampires from destroying mankind.

Play dates are May 6 at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., May 7 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and May 8 at 8 p.m. Cost is $5 and tickets reservations can be made by sending an email to yola.rozynek@gallaudet.edu or call 202-651-5024 (TTY), 202-651-5409 (FAX).
