Deaf Man Found Badly Beaten In Jupiter

Police Have Two Suspects, No Motive
JUPITER, Fla. -- On Tuesday night, Jupiter Police found Walter Basham badly beaten outside Uncle Mick's on Indiantown Road.
He was unconscious and naked.
As if that's not bad enough, Basham is also deaf and mute.
"(Basham) doesn't have an address, and he is sleeping in his vehicle," said Sgt. Scott Pascarella.
Police tracked down Basham's car, as well as one of the two suspects, who were several miles away in Tequesta.
They say Darrell Blackman confessed to the crime.
Police also found the second suspect, Geoffrey Simmone.
