Deaf and Hearing Actors Needed for Hangar Theatre School Tour; Non-AEA

The Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY is casting for a touring production of Jack and the Beanstalk: a one-hour world premiere of the classic fairy tale including both deaf actors and hearing actors with a strong knowledge of ASL (fluency preferred). Jack and the Beanstalk follows Jack on his journey from boyhood to manhood, and combines the magical world in the sky with cows who want to be opera stars and a goose who wants to get back to vaudeville. Script by Marjorie Sokoloff. Wendy Dann, director, Kevin Moriarty, artistic director; Lisa Bushlow, executive director. Rehearses February 9-22 in Ithaca, NY. Tours to elementary schools in upstate New York February 23-April 3. Pay is $250 per week, travel and housing provided. Auditions in NYC by appointment only.
