Gifts of Hope helps the deaf

From: Cincinnati Enquirer, OH - Nov 21, 2003

Gifts of Hope have a special meaning to Bryan Eubanks; his wife, Pam; and son, Nathaniel.

Nathaniel has a hearing impairment. The Gifts of Hope Campaign raises money for the Cincinnati Deaf & Hard of Hearing Institute for Christian education, to provide families with sign language books, crayons, computers, dolls, flash cards, and articles on latest technology for assisting the hearing-impaired.

"Gifts of Hope open doors to many families who have children who are deaf," said Eubanks, who is director of the institute. "We know from personal experience."

The General Electric Elfun volunteer organization is conducting the fund drive, which has a goal of $8,000, saidBill Bross, project leader.
