Deaf school holds event at Chevys

NEWARK -- Fremont's California School for the Deaf is having a fund-raiser today at Chevys Fresh Mex Restaurant in Newark.
The restaurant will donate 20 percent of proceeds from all diners with a flyer about the event.
Fliers will be available at the Association of Parents, Teachers and Counselors booth at "The Big Game," the homecoming football game at 2 p.m. today between the Fremont school and its sister school, the California School for the Deaf, Riverside.
The school is at 39350 Gallaudet Drive, Fremont.
The restaurant is at 5605 Mowry School Road, Newark.
