POLICE are asking for help in tracing two missing women.

One, a 23-year-old profoundly deaf Turkish woman, was last seen at her home on the Purley Way, Waddon, on June 26.

The family of Dilek Karadag say her disappearance of is out of character and are keen to know she is safe.

Dilek is 5ft 6ins tall and, although she is deaf, can use sign language in English.

Her family have said that they will discuss any problems she may have with her.

She is known to visit Bromley, Catford and Lewisham.

The other missing woman is 37-year-old Mary Kehinde Dolapo Fagbewesa, who was last seen at her home address in South Norwood on June 30.

She is described as tall and slim and often wears African tribal dress. She has distinctive burn marks on both cheeks, her neck and one arm and she always carries her Bible with her.

Police are concerned for her safety because she needs regular and essential medication for epilepsy.

They say it is out of character for her not to attend her local church in South Norwood or to disappear without notifying her friends. Mary often visits the Lambeth area.

Anyone with information on either of these women should contact the Missing Persons Unit at Croydon on 0208 649 0132.
