Car rally treat for deaf kids

From: Glasgow Evening Times, UK - Jul 11, 2003

DEAF youngsters are to take part in a classic car rally this weekend.
The children, from the National Deaf Society in Glasgow, will be taken to Callander for the day in a fleet of classic cars including a 1930s Riley, two 1950s Rolls-Royce Silver Shadows and a Triumph TR3.
The group has been invited to join the annual event, which leaves from Lomond Galleries, Alexandria, on Sunday.
The rally is organised by the Motoring Heritage Museum, which was once the world's biggest car factory.
Convener of Argyll and Bute Council, Billy Petrie, whose grand- father helped to build the former Argyll car factory, will be present to wave the party off.
The children will be brought back to Lomond Galleries for a tea party later in the day.
