(June 18, 2003) — A health care video for deaf women will be premiered today at Strong Memorial Hospital.
"My Body, My Responsibility" will be shown and free copies will be made available to local agencies.
The one-hour video focuses on puberty, pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted diseases and gynecological exams and health for deaf women. The actors use sign language, which is voiced over and captioned.
The video will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in Room 1-9041 at Strong Behavioral Health. A question-and-answer period will follow. For details, contact the Deaf Wellness Center at Strong, (585) 275-6785 voice or TTY.
