From: KDSK, MO - May 14, 2003
(KSDK) -- Police are looking for the hit and run driver who killed a South St. Louis man early Tuesday morning. 37-year-old Jerome Strawder was hit on Jefferson Avenue near Wyoming.
Strawder, who was deaf, had two sons and worked at Lemp Mansion Restaurant for 15 years. His relatives hope to get some answers about his death.
Victoria Echols is Jerome's niece. "I'm not mad at the person that did this or wish bad on them. I just wish whoever or if anyone heard or seen anything just please contact the family, the police."
A black car is the only description police have on the vehicle that hit Strawder. Jerome's niece says because the 37 year old was deaf he never heard the car coming.
