From: KSL-TV, UT - May 27, 2003

(KSL TV) Police are crediting onlookers with saving the lives of several people involved in a car accident.

The crash happened last night in Ogden.

The driver of a white Mazda Protégé ran a red light at 12th Street and Harrison Boulevard, and plowed into a school bus filled with children from the Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind.

The car then burst into flames before the passengers could get out. Passerbys pulled them to safety.

The car was carrying seven teenagers... at least five were seriously injured.

Everyone on the bus was wearing a seat belt -- no one aboard was seriously injured.
