Deaf Woman Killed When Hit By Train

LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- A Lake Worth woman walking home from the grocery store was struck and killed by a train Thursday evening.
Lake Worth Police said the woman was deaf and apparently didn't hear the train coming.
The accident that killed Nerlyne Regisme happened in the 1500 block of 13th Avenue North. The train's conductor said he saw the woman walking on the tracks and sounded his horn, but Regisme didn't move.
