Sign language story hour

(April 4, 2003) — A nationally renowned American Sign Language storyteller will present a program today at the University of Rochester.

“The Best of the Old West: An Evening of ASL Storytelling with Sam Supalla” starts at 7 p.m. in Hubbell Auditorium in Hutchison Hall on the River Campus.

Supalla is an associate professor in the department of special education, rehabilitation and school psychology at the University of Arizona. He also helped found the Laurent Clerc Elementary School in Tucson, a charter school for both deaf and hearing children.

The event, which is geared to an audience of all ages, will be voice interpreted.
