From: St. Marys Star, Australia - 17 Mar 2003

POLICE last Friday arrested two teenage girls for a robbery just as they were leaving Mt Druitt police station.

The girls, who are 16 and 17 and come from Bidwill, had been reporting to the police station as part of their bail conditions when detectives recognised them from a description.

They were searched and several stolen items confiscated.

Police said that at 9.45pm on Thursday two girls approached two 16-year-old girls from St Clair in Mt Druitt's Dawson Mall demanding their possessions.

The victims handed over jewellery, clothing, mobile phones and cash.

The arrested teenagers were also charged with robbing a deaf 18-year-old Leumeah man at the North Parade taxi rank on December 8.
