SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.—Wynd Communications Corp., a subsidiary of GoAmerica Inc. that focuses on wireless services for deaf people, said it will combine its operations with Deafwireless, which is the largest deaf-owned wireless company in the United States.

The combined business will operate under the Wynd name. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

“This move fits Wynd’s strategy of expanding our presence and commitment in the deaf community,” said Dan Luis, chief executive officer of GoAmerica. “Deafwireless has differentiated itself with a community-style approach and high level of customer service, which are values we share.”
