"TOYS THEATER" ENDS A SUPER JANUARY WITH A SHOW IN MAINE ON WEDNESDAY,
JANUARY 29th (7:00 PM)

Internationally-renowned Deaf Russian Troupe to Offer its Unique,
Interactive Performance Experience to Hundreds More of All Ages and
Cultures

NEW YORK (January 22, 2003) - xeAxe International is pleased to announce
that TOYS Theater will be continuing their North American tour as they
perform at the Governor Baxter School for the Deaf (GBSD)'s High School
Gymnasium, in Falmouth, Maine (Mackworth Island), minutes from nearby
Portland.

The troupe will be appearing on Wednesday, January 29th, at 7:00 P.M., with
a show that's suitable for all ages and cultures!

On the 29th, the box office will open from 6:00-6:45 P.M. for the 7:00 P.M.
show. Tickets will cost $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for students with
College ID, and for children under 18 years old. (Children under the age
of 3 years old will receive tickets at no charge.)

Tickets will be sold at the door (no advance purchase this time, so make
plans now to get there early!), and we gladly accept most major credit
cards (MC/Visa/Discover).

TOYS Theater performances are accessible family entertainment, and audience
participation is one of their hallmarks. Everyone who comes to the show
will be encouraged to interact with the performers during the show, and to
stay afterward to meet the cast, take pictures, participate with them in a
panel discussion, and even buy some souvenirs and Deafwireless pagers.

In addition to performances such as this one, which have tickets available
to the general public, TOYS Theater also often presents private workshops
in those same communities, enabling area residents to get the complete
"TOYS Theater" experience. Please e-mail us for more information about
that.

TOYS Theater is also looking for volunteers to help with promoting the show
in the greater Portland area. If you're interested, then we would love to
have you on our team! Please either e-mail us at toystheater@xeAxe.com, or
meet us online using AIM: TOYStheater or MarinaFanshteyn.

For those outside Portland, if you'd like for TOYS Theater to perform or
give workshops in a community near you, too, or if you want to join the
TOYS Theater e-mail list and learn about our upcoming shows as they're
announced, please e-mail us at toystheater@xeAxe.com.

About TOYS Theater

TOYS Theater is an internationally-acclaimed group that was first formed in
1985 in St. Petersburg (formerly Leningrad), Russia. The ensemble has used
mime and gesture stories enhanced by rhythms to delight Deaf and Hearing
audiences in such locations as Finland, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands,
and Poland. They have also performed at the National Association of the
Deaf (NAD) Convention 2000 in Virginia; the Russian Cultural Centre
(affiliated with the Russian Embassy), the John F. Kennedy Center for the
Performing Arts and the recent "Deaf Way II" Conference, all in Washington,
D.C.; and many other performances around North America as part of their
current tour.

The four performers, Vassily Solonitsky, Ludmila Romanovskaya, Alexander
Filimonov, and Ilya Goltsov, and the Director, Oleg Golovushkin, who are
all Deaf themselves, use the universal language of humor to entertain their
audiences and provide glimpses into Russian and Deaf cultures.

More information about TOYS Theater will be available soon at their Web
site: www.toystheater.com, which is currently being redesigned, or by
sending them an e-mail to toystheater@xeAxe.com.
