Dogs Act As Ears
CENTRAL POINT, Ore. -- An Oregon-based program is celebrating 25 years of providing help for the deaf.
Dogs for the Deaf trains dogs to act as a pair of ears. They give their owners a heads-up if the phone starts ringing or a smoke alarm goes off.
In the last 25 years, Dogs for the Deaf has placed more than 800 dogs nationwide. Now they're expanding.
