The grief is overwhelming for the family of Kisha Sullivan. She's not the first relative they've lost to murder. But the pain goes deeper this time, knowing that the 27-year-old deaf woman was so vulnerable.

"My baby couldn't defend herself," says Francis Rudolph, Kisha's grandmother. "If he came to her from the front, she couldn't say no. If you come to her from the back, she didn't hear you."

Kisha's family is asking the public for clues as to how their loved one wound up murdered. Two loggers found her body October 27th in LeRoy. The family is also appealing to the killer.

"I wish you would turn yourself in and pay for what you did," says Rudolph.

Kisha isn't the only woman found dead recently. State police say they're investigating six cases since the summer. They're also asking for help from the public.

"On August 29th this year the body of a nude female was found on a dirt access road just off West Port Bay Road in Wolcott, New York," Lt. Mark Lincoln said Monday at a press conference.

The body may'be been there for two months, but authorities were able to put together a sketch of what the woman may've looked like. They say she was 20 to 40 years old, seven months pregnant, and African American or of mixed race.

Since her body was found, News 8 has reported on similar discoveries in Perinton, Greece, and LeRoy - Kisha's case. But police are cautioning people not to jump to conlusions. They say there's no thread linking the cases together.

"There are a lot of similarities, but there are also a lot of differences. So we're actively exchanging information daily with other police agencies and certainly hoping that we can all help each other," says Lincoln.

Police won't release a cause of death in the Wolcott case, but they are calling it homicide. If you have any information, you're asked to call: 315-255-2766.

If you know anything about Kisha Sullivan's death call the Genesee County Sheriff's Department at: 585-345-3000, extension 218.
The United Church Ministry has established a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest in Kisha's case.
