Eighth graders from the Mississippi School for the Deaf helped make one family's dream come true today. The school's Family and Consumer Science class worked with metro Jackson's Habitat for Humanity to landscape Leon Smith's new yard on Dewitt Street.

The house was dedicated after the work was done. Habitat for Humanity says it has built around 90 homes in 2002. This was the first time the school for the deaf students have helped out.
