Head Start program seeks eligible children

The SHARE Head Start Program is currently recruiting all of Anderson, and Oconee counties for children eligible for Head Start and Early Start.

Head Start offers a comprehensive pre-school program for low-income families with children ages 3 and 4 years. Early Head Start serve families with children zero to three.

SHARE Head Start services children with disabilities: blindness/visual impairments, deafness/hearing impairments, emotional impairments, orthopedic impairments, learning disabilities, mental retardation, speech/language impairments, multiple disabilities.

Parents or legal guardian must have the following documents when completing application: proof of family's income, child's legal birth certificate (small card), child's white immunization certificate (no pinkcard), child's social security card

Sunbelt Human Advancement Resources, Inc. (SHARE) at no charge to the families served operate the program. Recruitment of eligible children for consideration of enrollment is an on going process.
