SAN LEANDRO -- St. Elizabeth looks for its first Bay Football League title since 1993 tonight when it meets second-place California School for the Deaf in a 7:30 battle at Burrell Field.

The Mustangs (7-2 overall, 3-0 BFL) are fresh off a 28-9 win over Berean Christian in which quarterback Miguel Daggs rush for 77 yards and two touchdowns on a tender ankle.

St. Elizabeth also got 76 yards on the ground from Eddie Russaw and two scores by John Forte -- a 57-yard punt return and a 75-yard interception return. CSD's defense is one of the area's best, giving up just 142.8 yards per game.

The Eagles (7-2, 2-1) were trounced 33-13 by Salesian last week and need a win to gain a share of the league crown. QB Clint Dickinson was held to 27 yards passing last week, about 130 yards below his per-game average. David Harvey did run for 100 yards but could find it tougher going against a Mustangs defense that limited Berean Christian to a minus-1 yard on the ground and 53 total.
